TRUTH IN
ADVERTISING
I have been using the internet for
more then a decade, much more. I mention this purely to explain that
when I say I have received lots of spam, I really have. lots and lots.
I have recently had a first though, I have had some truth. Every so
often I check my spam folder and recently I saw this:
This is spam. Whatever this person
(more on that later) is using it allows them to set the sender to try
and mask the actual sending address, which is not exactly rocket
science. But the kicker for me was that they actually changed it to
"phishing", so rather then having to rely on a spam filter or checks,
they helpfully told me this was a phishing email, leaving whatever
actions I take up to me. How nice.
So (lets look at the headers)..
..I have to say a 'thank you' to
Yehudi, who has tried to make his victims lives easier by marking his
phishing emails as 'phishing'. Thanks Yehudi.
